Moon Shine Adventures with Summit Land Conservancy and Mountain Trails Foundation

Join us as we ring in this year’s Winter Solstice with a Moon Shine Adventure on the Weber River! Dress in your warmest winter garb and bring a headlamp and your favorite mug (yes, we’ll provide the hot cider) Oh, and don’t forget to bring all your adventure loving friends!
We will snowshoe (depending on snow coverage) the 20 acre Stevens Grove property located in the heart of Oakley [4411 North Millrace Road]. The property boasts a beautiful trail that meanders along the Weber River, full of wildlife and different sounds of the night! We will meet at Stevens Grove at 7:00 PM and our adventure will last about 1-1.5 hours. We love this property and we think you will too!

*Participants should plan to park at Oakley City Hall and we will provide a shuttle to the trail head.

FUN FACT: December’s full moon is called the Cold Moon or the Long Night Moon, because of low winter temps and long hours of darkness.

WHEN:
DECEMBER 21
